Millie and Chris – Copey Creek Wedding

Two weekends ago we had the pleasure of capturing Millie and Chris’s wedding at Copey Creek in North Georgia. Y’all you may remember these two sweethearts from their Yonah Mountain Vineyards Engagement.  I mean, how could you forget the way Chris looks at her, it’s so stinking cute.  It’s what we imagine the cartoon eyes popping hearts out of their eyeballs look like in real life.  It’s the way every bride dreams her husband will look at her on her wedding day.

Watching Millie that morning surrounded by her sisters, family, and best friends were so special.  A few moments from our morning in the getting ready room stand out the most.  Millie was so intentional with each of the flower girls as she was tying on their flower crowns.  We got to capture them as they stared in awe of Millie, lightly touch the bottom of the wedding dress lace in amazement, then take a little break to call out “Oh Mr Cooowww” at the cows in the adjacent property. And finally we got to witness Millie’s wedding dress reveal to her bridesmaids — did we mention how stunning she looked? A few tears were shed, a few graceful twirls were made, and everyone was in awe, it was perfect.

Chris joined us after getting ready at a good friends house just down the road. We had already seen how Chris loves on Millie, but watching him extend that same care and consideration to all the people there to support him on his big day was special to see. We thought Chris’ smiles couldn’t get any bigger as the ceremony drew near but between each of the bridesmaids handing him a tissue on their way down and his first sight of Millie, we could not have been more wrong.

After the ceremony, we took them and the bridal party back down into the field and enjoyed the sunset. Chris carried a barefoot Millie down to our favorite spot, with the sun setting to our west and the Blueridge mountains in the distance. Before the sun completed faded away, they had their first dance as husband and wife, on the back porch.  It was sweet, slow and soft.  Chris smiled as he whispered to Millie and her small never faded.  From there first dance to the sparkler exit they never left the dancefloor.

Millie and Chris, we hope you continue to have awe in your eyes and continue to never stop dancing together.  We believe you truly have something so special and dance moves to prove it.

Congratulations again, Mr. and Mrs. Cheatwood!

Big Hugs and Lots of Love,

Isaac and Amanda
