Happy Friday Friends! These two sweethearts may look familiar since we just posted there St Simons Island Engagement on East Beach Engagement last week. But now, you get a sneak peek of there King and Prince Wedding!
The King and Prince was the perfect backdrop for Jenna and Eric’s destination wedding. It had all the details of a fairytale come true. We started in the Solarium room with our favorite girls at Make Me Up. Jenna’s bridesmaids wore the cutest robes covered in palm leaves as we popped a little champagne outside. Her bridesmaids had made the PERFECT wedding day playlist and were singing classic’s like “Going to the Chapel”. If Isaac didn’t leave to meet up with Eric and the groomsmen at their rental house down the street I am sure he would have tried to chime in.
Their first look was at the Avenue of the Oaks where Eric waited patiently to see his bride for the first time. His reaction was so sweet when he finally turned around to see her! They got to spend a few minutes together, peacefully in the shade under the Oak Trees, but once the bridal party showed up in the St Simons Island Trolly with a boombox blaring Taylor Swift we started to celebrate while taking photographs. Once we wrapped up there we went back to the King and Prince where they relaxed before the ceremony.
The ceremony was so beautiful. They got married on the oceanfront lawn. We are also 99.9 percent sure that all the wedding guests had goosebumps as Jenna’s brother Joseph (a professional opera singer) sang Perfect Symphony (the version by Ed Sheeran and Andrea Bocelli) as she was walking down the aisle.
It was little details like that, that made the day so special. Like when Eric’s mom surprised Eric with Steeler’s themed “Jenna & Eric Wedding Towels” (instead of Terrible Towels that they wave at the football games) to be waved by all the guests for their introduction into the Delegal Room for the reception.
But it wasn’t all about the details in a tangible way – it was in the relationship behind it. From choosing a (amazing) Florist Laura McCarty who is a family friend to inviting everyone on the dancefloor while Eric and his mom danced to “Hey Look Ma, I Made It” by Panic at the Disco. It was such a fun and upbeat song that incorporates both of their personalities. This one consistent theme that came up over, and over again, was the very real and deep relationships they have fostered, no matter where life takes them, and how excited they were for all their close friends and family to celebrate together (finally!), chair lifts and all.
Jenna and Eric, From Athens to Jacksonville, to San Diego to St Simon’s, and Pensacola on the horizon love will follow the two of you wherever your hearts lead. We are so honored that we got to be a small part of your very special day. We hope you look back on these pictures one day and smile remembering all the joy you each felt that day and how loved you both are by everyone around you. Here are just a few of our many, many favorites. Congratulations again you two!
Big Hugs and lots of love,
Isaac and Amanda
