One of the things that we love about photography is this: no two shoots are ever the same — and Jessica and Casey’s Rosemary beach engagement session was no exception!
We always like to reach out to our couples if we are traveling to a location near and dear to their heart. Looking at our schedule, and knowing that Casey proposed there, we asked if they wanted to join us down on 30A in Rosemary Beach for their engagement session. They quickly said “YES!”, and asked if Jerry their 15-week old golden retriever puppy could join. We quickly said “YES!” right back at them ;).
As high school sweethearts, these two have been together for 10 years. Casey proposed to Jessica in front of the Town Hall in Rosemary Beach, on New Years weekend, where they were spending the weekend celebrating with their closest friends (How sweet and fun is that?!).
We kicked off the session with Jessica and Casey at their beach house and walking through the cobbled streets of Rosemary with Jerry (named after Jerry Rice). For just being 15 weeks old he was such a good listener and got gold stars all around for his debut on camera. They shared with us how they grew up together in Roswell, and drove the long roads between GSU and Rhodes throughout college before finally settling back in Atlanta. We walked around the town to our favorite hidden spots. They told us about their favorite spots (that we made sure to check out during our stay). We walked through little alleyways, gardens and past bicycles. As the hour stretched on, and shadows got longer the crowds started to fade. We always say how dreamy golden hours is but there is truly something so romantic about the gulf coast from the white sand to the crystal blue water. This was no exception.
Jessica and Casey, we’ve been looking forward to this session for from the moment we scheduled it. We’re so glad we dodged Alberto, and were able to make it happen. You two look absolutely stunning in every frame. We are so excited for your wedding next year! The next time we see each other, you’ll be in a white dress and he’ll be nervous to see you for the first time, and we just can’t wait. Because if you’re half as joyful on your wedding day as you are in everyday life, you could pass it out as a party favor and you’d still have more to go around.
Big Hugs and Lots of Love!
