Jessica and Graham – Water Oak Manor Wedding

GUYS! We are so excited to share Jessica and Graham’s blog today. These two are so special to us and we absolutely loved every second we got to spend with them. We have been looking forward to Jessica and Graham’s Auburn wedding ever since we first met them at their engagement session in Cheaha, which you can find here. (We can sum it up for you though, we had a blast, confirmed they were our new besties, and got some stunning shots of the two of them). Fast forward, last Saturday Jessica got to marry her first crush AND it was so special for so many reasons, but one of them was the venue itself!  They had a beautiful classic southern wedding at the Water Oak Manor, which happened to be the home of Graham’s best man and their longtime family friends.

They say “Love is more precious than gold”

This wedding day was everything we dreamed it would be! From the moment we pulled up to the Manor, and walked past the Bridal Suite that Jessica and her bridesmaids were getting ready in, we knew it was going to be a picture-perfect day. We always start off with details. The sun was shining, which was only made better by the reflection of light on the white front porch. We love nature’s natural reflectors and we were able to get the most whimsical pictures of Jessica’s wedding dress between the large front doors.

Did we mention that Jessica designed her custom dress herself with Anomolie? It was absolutely breathtaking and fit her like a glove! Our favorite part of the dress was the satin buttons leading into a long elegant train.

Graham and his groomsmen had their own fun down the hall in their room. We very carefully kept them separate that morning so they could share a moment together, locking eyes as Jessica walked down the aisle. We think his face says it all.

After the ceremony, Our photographer’s hearts went pitter patter as we scurried across the property for their sunset portraits as husband and wife before the sunlight faded away. Jessica and Graham were radiant, between their sweet smiles, and whispers and the incredible setting we were in heaven.

The reception was under an amazing tent with an outdoor marquee dancefloor. The guests gathered around the tables waiting for the newlyweds to enter. Each table had overflowing white flowers and candles.

They started with their first dance, their favorite song, Millionaire by Chris Stapleton.

They say “Love is more precious than gold”
Can’t be bought and it can’t be sold
I got love enough to spare
That makes me a millionaire
I got a woman with eyes that shine
Down deep as a diamond mine
She’s my treasure so very rare
She’s made me a millionaire

During these moments, we already felt like part of the family. As we got to know those closest to them we got to see another peek into their lives and relationship. We love these little glimpses, outside of emails and phone calls, outside of busy engagement shoots, where we get to see our couples just be themselves.  Everything about the day was intentional, Jessica and Graham made it all about spending time with their closest family and friends.  Even their officiant was a close friend of the couple (who had the whole crowd laughing). As we watched them tie the knot, we felt so blessed not only to shoot their wedding but to be a small part of their lifelong story.

We could not imagine a more perfect wedding day and are so grateful to have been a part of it all. We can’t wait to hear all about your adventures in Iceland.  And, we are already thinking of excuses to go back to Alabama to hang out with Y’all. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Harper!

Big hugs and lots of love,

Isaac and Amanda
