Happy Friday Friends! We kicked of 2020 with the biggest celebration and we are so excited to share a sneak peek of Kelsey and Seth’s King and Prince Wedding! As always, the King and Prince was the perfect waterfront backdrop with all the details of a fairytale come true. (Hint: You may remember these two from their EPIC Driftwood Beach Engagement.)
We started that morning in the Solarium room with our favorite Hair and Makeup Artist Emma Collins Beauty. Kelsey greeted us with the biggest smile. The weather was overcast so we quickly took advantage of the diffused light. We forgot our hotel keycard, so we quickly hopped the fence with Kelsey’s bridesmaids to get onto the beach. We bet they were not expecting that! We just knew we wanted to show their cute pajama’s while the girls popped a little champagne, and we have to say it was so worth it!
In the meantime, Seth and the guys were getting ready just across the street in a villa at the King and Prince. Seth was a little nervous all day until he was able to see Kelsey during the first look. They choose to meet each other at the Wesley United Methodist Church gardens. To make sure they wouldn’t see each other Seth arrived first and Isaac set him in place.
Ya’ll poor Seth waited so patiently to see his bride for the first time while Amanda ran to grab the bouquet and boutonniere. It must have been so tempting to just turn around. Luckily Seth was able to wait because his reaction when he finally did get to see her was TOTALLY worth it. They got to spend a few minutes together, like that, peacefully in the shade under the Oak Trees. The Wesley gardens are one of our favorite hidden treasures on the island for a reason.
The ceremony at Wesley United Methodist Church was beautiful. There are so many different verses in the bible about love and marriage, so it was so perfect when it was announced that they each picked the same verse in the bible for each other in their pre-marital counseling for the wedding ceremony.
Once we wrapped up extended family portraits we went back to the King and Prince where we ran to catch the last of the sunset on the beach before the cocktail hour was over where we captured some of our favorite photographs of the day. There is something about the first pictures as Husband and Wife that makes the smiles just a little bit bigger, and a whole heck of a lot less nervous that makes golden hour pictures so perfect.
And, after all that? it was time to celebrate! Island Sound had the dancefloor packed all night, everyone was busy dancing right up until the final exit.
Kelsey and Seth, we hope you look back on these pictures one day and smile remembering all the joy you each felt that day and how loved you both are by everyone around you. Here are just a few of our many, many favorites. Congratulations again you two!
Big Hugs and lots of love,
Isaac and Amanda
