There is nothing more romantic and special to a girl than waiting for their own handsome leading man to surprise them on a bended knee with a sparkling engagement ring!

Rhett reached out to us the first week of October with a destination surprise proposal plan at the King and Prince.  And, we are so thankful Rhett trusted us to help him with his plan!  As natural light photographers— you KNOW how crazy we are about good light!  Looking at the tide and sunset time, we recommended East Beach by the coastguard station nearby for the beach pictures he was looking for.  We lucked out because it was close to the house they were staying at, so when  Rhett tried to convince Madi to walk to the beach with him for a private moment to read a scripture, she didn’t think twice about it and only started to wonder why he was shaking.

It’s always a big moment for us, right before a proposal.   We get such a rush of excitement, it’s the moment when the guy wears his heart on his sleeve and asks the love of his life to marry him.  It’s the moment in the movie that makes your heart skip a beat.  It’s as new and as fresh and exciting as the words “I love you” but what they are really saying is “I choose you”.

One of our favorite moments was walking into the King and Prince to see their families and closest friends there to celebrate the newly engaged couple!  Madi was so happy it brought her to smile-in-her-eye tears.  They toasted and cheered and we ended our session by popping some champagne by the jetty as the tide rolled out and the sun began to fade.

Below are just a few of our favorites!  It was so hard to choose.  Rhett truly planned the perfect proposal, and we are so honored we were able to capture it.  Congratulations again Rhett and Madi!  You have so much to look forward too!
