Michelle and Matthew – Yonah Mountain Vineyards Wedding

Closing out our year with Michelle and Matthew’s Yonah Mountain wedding was fitting as their engagement session was our first of the year. Fall was in full swing up in the mountains, which is exactly what they were looking forward to. Many of their guests traveled from Florida and across the southeast to attend their destination wedding. Watching all those who traveled from far and wide wrap them in love was such a treat. One of our favorite moments was when we were able to witness them reading each other letters with their backs to each other, and say a private prayer surrounded by their family right before the ceremony.

As we bounced around Yonah Mountain Vineyards it was impossible not to notice the oranges, yellows, and reds putting on their little show, and while they only got more magnificent as the sun dropped behind the surrounding hills, it highlighted rather than overshadowed each sweet moment. The ceremony itself was gorgeous, with everyone seated at the top of a hill overlooking the vineyards, the view of the sun setting behind Yonah Mountain, and the arbor that was handmade draped with flowers and chiffon. After the ceremony, we were able to take some pictures of Michelle and Matthew as husband and wife during golden hour and we are so excited to share them!

As the reception kicked off we were touched by the intention behind each moment. From the surprise slideshows of Michelle and Matthew as children that served as the background during the Father-Daughter, Mother-Son dances, to Michelle’s dad thanking the guests for their long travels to be there (GA was certainly the minority), to Michelle dancing with what seemed like EVERY person on the dance floor, watching them love and be loved was a treat.

Michelle and Matthew, thank you so much for trusting us with capturing your most precious memories. We loved every minute.
