Hello friends!  We are so excited to finally be sharing with you Victoria and Austin’s Washington Monument Engagement session!

We woke up early to catch a flight from JAX to DCA.  As our plane glided over Washington DC we stared in awe out the window pointing out the large monuments we could see from the sky and iconic government building like the White House and Pentagon.  It was all of Amanda’s forensic investigation dreams come true. From Blacklist, NCIS, and all the other high stake FBI shows on Netflix you can think of— Amanda has watched them.  Once we got to our hotel we were quick to download the Lime app and scooted around town to find all of our favorite spots.

Because it was Veteran’s weekend it was a little bit crowded, and although the Jefferson memorial was under restoration — the sky made up for it because we had the most BEAUTIFUL light from Capitol Hill to the Lincoln Memorial.  We greeted Victoria and Austen for their engagement session with the biggest hugs.  It was such a delight to get to know them and their hearts.  We can not express how excited we are to celebrate with the two of them in May!

Victoria had mentioned her uncle said it best when he had told her….

“There are two kinds of people-  those that dream about their wedding day

and those that dream about who they are going to marry.”

And these two are the second, and they couldn’t be more perfect for each other.  Austin was quick to guide Victoria’s hand down the MANY stairs, and smile and say how it was worth it to make her happy.  I mean, if that doesn’t make your heart melt watch the way he looks at her in the pictures below.  She is radiating joy.  Enjoy this sweet season preparing for marriage.  Thank you again for sharing your city with us, our hearts are full knowing we made new friends.
